1925 - 2014 | Obituary Condolences
CYNTHIA BAUMANN Cynthia Lillian Morley Baumann, age 88, of Henderson, was born Oct. 18, 1925, in London, England, to Lilian and Alfred Morley. She came to the United States in 1946 on an oil tanker after enduring the hardships of World War II, settling in California. She was a devoted wife to Robert; mother to Christopher, who preceded her in death in 1983, and David; grandmother to Tony, Leslea, Rob and Stephanie; and great- grandmother to Chloe, Jaden and Kenna. She was very passionate about all she did from politics to taking the grandchildren to the mall to enjoy the carousel and visit the Woolworth's store to purchase school supplies. Cynthia had very strong traditions and never missed a special day for family and friends. She was very proud to have served on her son's school PTA, where she was a life member. Cynthia was the first woman to serve on the North Las Vegas City Council 1976-1979 and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority in 1977-1979. She will always be remembered by her ability to make things happen. Private services for Cynthia will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
