DE LANE LA FOLLETTE De Lane "Del" F. La Follette, 79, of Henderson, passed away Jan. 27, 2013, in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 3, 1933, in Pella, Iowa, to Harry Dwight La Follette and Wilma J. Deileman. He served his country during the Korea War in the U.S. Air Force. Del worked as a project manager for the Department of Commerce with the National Weather Service. He married Ann Sumners May 26, 1962 in Sedalia, Mo. They moved to the Las Vegas area 20 years ago from Phoenix. Del was a strong Christian who attended Green Valley Baptist Church. He taught children's Sunday school and was an usher. He volunteered many hours of service helping with voting and hanging flags on Memorial Day. Del was always willing to help those in need and was a great carpenter. Del was preceded in death by his son, Richard La Follette; and a brother, Wayne La Follette. Del is survived by his wife, Ann La Follette; his daughter-in-law, Debbie La Follette of Las Vegas; his two grandchildren, Richelle (Justin Cimock) La Follette and Jessica La Follette; his great-granddaughter, Keirra; and his brother, Norman La Follette. Visitation for Del will be 9-10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, with funeral services to follow, both at Green Valley Baptist Church, 270 N. Valle Verde Dr., Henderson. Burial will be at 9:20 a.m., Monday, Feb. 4, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
