JACK DIESON Obituary
JACK DIESON Jack Lee Dieson, 56, a teacher, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 12, 2013. "Jack," as he was known, was born Feb. 11, 1957, in Garden City, Mich. His family later moved to Evart, Mich. There, he attended Evart High School, where he was a multi-sport varsity letter earner. He was an excellent student also. Jack was a National Honor Society member, valedictorian and president of his 1975 graduating class. He then proceeded to attend the University of Michigan, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. From there, he moved to Las Vegas to expand his education. He graduated from UNLV with a degree in professional development. He taught for Clark County schools for many years. He then switched professions to be a computer technician. He had just retired this year and had been a resident of Nevada for 25 years. Jack loved returning home to Michigan in the summer to be with family, friends and to enjoy Michigan's outdoor beauty. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Dieson of Evart; his beloved girlfriend, of 25 years, Sharon Blackmon of Las Vegas; and his uncle, Harold Cass of Evart. He is survived by his brothers, Alan Dieson of Reed City, Mich. and Eugene Dieson of Evart; beloved niece, Becky Crisler (nee Dieson) of White Cloud, Mich.; and nephew, Jared Dieson of Traverse City, Mich.; as well as his aunt, Mary Lou Cass of Evart. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, 831 Temple View, Las Vegas, NV 89110.
