S. JAMES MATCHETT S. James Matchett of Las Vegas left us peacefully at home on July 7, 2012, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sister, Isabelle Carlson; and nephew, Roger Carlson. Jim, 79, was born in Chicago May 27, 1933. He graduated from Howe Military Academy in Indiana and Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. Jim joined the U.S. Army and served his country overseas in Germany for three years, with an honorable discharge, He moved from Chicago to Los Angeles, where he joined Jon Douglas Reality as a salesman, and met and married his wife Barbara. Jim and Barbara moved to Las Vegas in 1995, where he worked part-time at Pulte Homes until 2005. He finally retired and truly enjoyed the Las Vegas lifestyle and the "good life." He will be sorely missed by family and friends. Arrangements are pending.
