ANDREW BARUFFI Andrew Thomas Baruffi, of Las Vegas, was born in Philadelphia, in 1938 and left his Earthly existence Jan. 3, 2013. Andy graduated from St. Joseph's College in 1960 and began his career as a criminal investigator for the Federal government shortly after, but according to his personal memoirs, his life didn't really begin until June of 1962, when he met the love of his life Yvonne. His IRS career brought him to Las Vegas in 1967 to work on some now infamous criminal investigations. Upon his retirement from the IRS in 1976, Andy's entrepreneurial spirit took hold. In March 1981 Andy opened Video Tyme. After building the Video Tyme chain to over 30 stores, Andy sold the business in September 1998. During his life after Video Tyme, Andy would enjoy spending time with his wife and eight grandchildren. Over the years, Andy has been a great mentor to many people but mostly to his family, never reluctant to share his insights and wisdom. Andy had a special connection with his daughter, Beth Ann, and over the years nurtured that connection by providing her with the spiritual awareness that he felt so strongly inside himself. Andy was fortunate enough to witness his entrepreneurial spirit living on in his sons, Mark and AJ, having the opportunity to see them both become successful business owners. During the last years of his life, Andy took great comfort in knowing his son, Matt, was there for him and Yvonne whenever they needed an extra hand. If he only had enough energy to get out of the house once a week, he enjoyed nothing more than a trip to Costco with Matty. Andy is survived by his wife, Yvonne; his four children, Andrew Jr. "AJ," Beth Ann, Matthew and Mark; and his eight grandchildren, Shayleen, Andrianna, Andrew III, Vincent, Alec, Blake, Nicolas and Joseph. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, with memorial services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131.
