CHARLES BAYLESS

CHARLES BAYLESS Charles "Chuck" Bayless, 83, of Henderson, passed away July 29, 2013. He was born Sept. 23, 1929, in Knoxville, Tenn. Chuck was raised in Detroit, where he graduated from Highland Park High School in 1947. Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1948 and served in Company "C" of the Third Armored Calvary Regiment at Ft. Meade, Md. He worked many jobs during his life, draftsman, casino manager in South Korea, sports writer and managed the first Honda motorcycle dealership in Hollywood. Eventually, Chuck made his way to Las Vegas, where he worked in the auto sales industry. He managed several dealerships during his life. He loved horse racing and was proud of being a veteran. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; his step-children, Katherine, Laura and Robert Edwards; his beloved grandchildren, Justin, Allyssa, Ashley, Jessica and Michael Edwards; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 8:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Boulder City.
