CHARLES ESTERMYER Charles E. Estermyer, age 84, passed away Nov. 9, 2013, at his home in Las Vegas. Charlie graduated from Beaver Falls High School in Beaver Falls, Pa. in 1947. He entered the U.S. Army
in 1950 with Company B of the Pennsylvania National Guard and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1952 and became a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, where he served for 31 years and was retired as a colonel, Armor. In 1953, he moved to California where he met his wife, Lue, and they started their family. He worked for Pacific Finance in various positions and locations for 15 years until 1968 when he left to join Chrysler Financial, the financial arm of Chrysler Corporation. He was employed by Chrysler Financial for 21 years in various management positions in southern California and Nevada until his retirement in 1988. He and Lue relocated to Las Vegas in 1992 after several years of world travel. Lue preceded him to our Lord in 2010. Charlie is survived by their two daughters, Jane Hybarger and Ellen Estermyer; son-in-law, Rob Hybarger; three grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter, who reside in Nevada, California, and Colorado. Charlie was a member of the Presbyterian church and a lifetime member of the Reserve Officer's Association, the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks - Beaver Falls Lodge and the American Legion - Post 261, Beaver Falls. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Free and Accepted Masons - San Bernardino Lodge #1787, the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and the Shrine of North America. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd, Las Vegas. Per Charlie's wishes, the family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Amazing Grace Ministries at Mountain View Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas, the Salvation Army or the
. Inurnment will be at Sylvania Hills Cemetery, Rochester, Pa. in a private family ceremony.
