CONSTANCE SATTEL Constance Elaine Wrigley Sattel, of Henderson, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Feb. 8, 2013. Connie was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Elizabeth, N.J., the daughter of Arthur and Caroline Wrigley, and was a direct descendent of Rob Roy MacGregor. Connie graduated from the exclusive Cooper Union School of Art in New York City, where she studied both music, specializing in the violin, and art. Connie loved to experiment with various forms of art, always becoming quite accomplished in any new artistic endeavor. Her altruistic qualities endeared her to many underprivileged persons. It was not uncommon for those she helped to call her "Mom." Connie was a woman of uncommon love for others. Indeed, when one attempted to describe her, the word love always came out first. Connie was utterly color blind and ethnically blind in her love of others and her tireless work with various charities. Everyone she touched was grateful for the relationship that they shared with her. Connie is survived by John, her husband of 59 years. Through all those years, they still held hands. She was the mother of six children, Mark, Kathleen, John, Anita, Robin and Thomas; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Doris. There will be a viewing 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 14, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at St. Thomas More Catholic Community, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson, NV 89074. Connie would have preferred that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Smile Train, which was one of her favorite charities. She always wanted to be connected to changed lives.
