DALE WINN Dale C. Winn was born April 1, 1938, in Price City, Utah, and passed away Feb. 2, 2013, in Las Vegas. His family moved to Las Vegas July 1941. Dale made his permanent home in Alamo in 1975. He attended Las Vegas High School. Dale joined the U.S. Navy
from 1956 to 1964. He served as an underwater demolition specialist and as a member of the Navy Seabees. Dale retired from the Operating Engineers Union. Dale had many talents as a miner, Nevada Test Site coordinator, gunsmith, cowboy, truck driver, gardener, photographer, fisherman and guitarist; he loved to race Harleys (his favorite bike was the Goldwing) and trap and hunt. Dale was number one, always a true and loyal friend. He will be missed and we will love him forever. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Angeline Stewart; and brothers, Jay Allred, and Dee and John Winn. He is survived by his wife, of 16 years, Marilyn; brothers, Ray Winn of Santa Barbra, Calif., and Gene Winn of North Las Vegas; daughter, Dara Yount; six grandchildren, all of Missouri; stepdaughters, Sasha (Shaun) Alexander and Tanya (Jeff) Deitrich of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Megan, Kristen, Erik, Zachary, Josh and Trey; and great-grandson, Jayden, all of Las Vegas. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 30, at the Cowboy Dream in Alamo.
