DAVID YUNGER

DAVID YUNGER David LeRoy "Dave" Yunger, 70, left all of us for eternal rest Friday, May 10, 2013, in Augusta, Ga. Dave was born Aug. 23, 1942, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. Dave served in the U.S. Air Force, was honorably discharged in 1965 and decided to make Las Vegas his home, where he met his wife, Patricia A. Yunger, and went on to work for Mission Linen Industries. He worked 26 years before retiring in 2003. In 2005, Dave then moved to Augusta to enjoy and bestow his witty and quirky personality to his two granddaughters. Dave was a 33-year member in the Teamsters Union Local #14, an active member of Moose International, plus a member of the American Legion. He had a love for animals and was quite the social butterfly. Music and sports (Green Bay Cheesehead) were his passion. Gardening was his soul; his garden was a certified wildlife habitat through the National Wildlife Federation. Dave was so many wonderful roles to our lives and will be missed. Dave is survived by his wife, of 46 years, Patricia A. Yunger; daughter, Sally Marie Forner (Peter Jr.); granddaughters, Jasmine and Alexis Forner; sister, Louise Andrewski; brother, Stephen Yunger; seven nephews; and one niece. Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday July 26, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive in Boulder City. Memorial tribute will follow at the American Legion Post #8.
