HORACIO PACHECO

HORACIO PACHECO Horacio A. "Chico" Pacheco, 76, of Henderson, passed away Sept. 25, 2012, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born Feb. 5, 1936, in Puerto De Luna, New Mexico, and was a resident of Nevada for over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a retired investigator for Clark County. Chico was an active member of Holy Family and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Churches, and was past grand knight for the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the American Legion. Chico enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his many friends, as well as spending time at Carlito's Restaurant, listening to New Mexican music, and playing golf. He took great pleasure in his garden. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael L. Pacheco; and brothers, Carlos and Frank Pacheco. Chico is survived by his loving wife, of 43 years, Marie Pacheco; son, Philip Pacheco; daughter, Mary Louise Sloan; son, Charles (Cyndie) Pacheco; daughter, Dana (Chris) Lusiani; grandson, Andrew; granddaughters, Alexandria, Athena, Alyssa, Kassandra and Victoria; sister, Marcella (Ray) Baca; and brothers, Orlando Pacheco and Ray (Marge) Pacheco. Rosary will be at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway. Graveside services following, at 12:40 p.m., at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd.
