INA PORTER Ina Porter, 95, a preschool teacher, of Las Vegas, passed away March 19, 2013. Ina was born May 20, 1917, in Kanab, Utah, and was a 74-year resident of Nevada. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many positions, her favorite being nursery leader. She was also a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Literary Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burdell Porter. Ina is survived by sons, Dan Porter (Susan) of Anaheim, Calif., and David Porter (Kathy) of Farmington, N.M.; daughters, Joan Ford (Kim) of New Harmony, Utah, and Sue Ann Porter of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, with services following at 11 a.m., both at the LDS Chapel, 4040 E. Wyoming Ave. (cross-street Gateway), Las Vegas. Burial will be in Kanab, Utah.
