SMSGT KENTON BEIRLE U.S. Air Force, Retired "An Officer and a Gentleman." Kenton Beirle, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, husband and dear friend to many passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Ken was born July 27, 1936, in Ely. In 1958, he joined the U.S. Army and served for four years. He then joined the U.S. Air Force, retiring as senior master sergeant after 21 years. Following his retirement, Ken resided in Pahrump, working for the Nevada Test Site. There he met his loving wife, Sandy. They married in 1992. After retiring from the test site, Ken started "Lil' Digs Landscaping" in Pahrump. Many years later, Ken and Sandy moved to Las Vegas. Ken had many talents and hobbies. His sanctuary was his workshop. He enjoyed woodwork, metal work, and stained glass. There wasn't a tool or machine that Ken didn't know how to operate. Ken is survived by his wife Sandy, family, brother, Dr. Floyd; sister, Doris; and countless friends. Ken has touched many lives, and we are all blessed to have known him. Full military tribute services will be at noon Tuesday, April 22, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
