"Dad, I thought you would live forever. You told me you would never die. But on that morning, God saw you and put your broken heart to rest. Mom was waiting for you. So, He put His arms around you and whispered, 'come with me.' When I found you, I screamed this couldn't be. Why both my parents were taken from me! A golden heart stopped beating that day, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me that he only takes the best. With tearful eyes, I know that was our last good-byes. I will love you forever and I can never say "good-bye." Love, Erikka, your 'cake-a-roni.' Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
