JANE HENRICKSEN Jane Henricksen, 85, a 56-year resident of Lake Tapawingo, Mo. and currently a one-year resident of Henderson, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at the Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, Mo. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Jane was born in Indianapolis to David and Chloe Polachek. She met and married the love of her life, Robert Henricksen, in 1946 when they both worked as artists for the Blocks Department Store. They settled in Kansas City, Mo., where their daughter, Connie, was born. In 1956, they moved to Lake Tapawingo, Mo., where Robert was an architect and builder. Jane worked in cosmetics sales for 30 years at the Jones Store Company, and won many awards and invented the use of the perfume bars. Jane and Robert were both talented artists and have left many pieces with which the family can remember them. Jane was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Blue Springs. Jane was preceded in death by Robert in 1998; her parents; and sister, Olga Ray. She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Russell) Askland of Henderson; grandson, Robert (Jennifer) Morris of Lenexa, Kan.; with great-grandchildren, Cassandra Morris, Adam Morris and Grace Morris; brother, David (Martha) Polachek of North Hills, Calif.; three nieces; one nephew; and many cousins.
