KENT DUTSON Heaven's gates were opened for Kent Dutson at age 77, Dec. 24, 2012, in Las Vegas, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born to Doyle and Lois Dutson in Sugar Salem, Idaho. Kent is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Dutson; children, Todd Dutson, Greg Dutson and Mike Dutson of San Antonio; brothers, Gaylen Dutson of Las Vegas and Brent Dutson of Middleton, Idaho; sisters, Zayle Magnusson of Mesa, Ariz.; Lynne Child of Clearfield, Utah; Pat Wilde of Emmett, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Kent was also a loving father to Sarah's children, Bekki Brim of Jacksonville, Fla., Tammi Kovacs of Las Vegas, and Matt Kovacs of Lake Elizabeth, Calif. Kent spent his youth growing up on a ranch in North Idaho. During this time, he was responsible for milking over 40 head of cows on the family farm. He joined the U.S. Army
at 17, and received a medical discharge for being injured by a grenade. Afterwards, he spent time back in Idaho and Utah before moving to Las Vegas in 1960. This is where he began his long career in maintenance work, devoting his life to providing these services to a large clientele in Las Vegas. No services are scheduled. Interment will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
