MICHAEL CENAMI

MICHAEL CENAMI Michael Anthony Cenami, 85, of Providence, R.I., Villa Park, Calif., and Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013. He was born in Providence Oct. 30, 1927 to Louis and Ida Cenami. Mike was a flight engineer for American Airlines for 40 years. After retirement, Mike continued to travel. He especially loved Hawaii where he spent two months out of every year. Mike served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and continued his service in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was Sergeant of Tanks. Michael was a wonderful husband and is survived by his wife, Gerry. They were married for 52 years. They loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. Michael was a wonderful father to son, James and daughters, Laraine, Ellen, Michele and Deborah. He adored his children and would do anything for them. Mike also is survived by his many grandchildren including Ryan, Shauna, Justin, Alicia, Keelian, Meridith, Christopher, Brett, Jackie, Jessica, Jaime, Zachary and Zaben. Mike was preceded in death by his siblings, Louis, Delight and Richard. Mike was a very special person. He could converse with anyone about anything. No matter what was needed, Mike was there to help. Visitation will be noon - 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31 at Palms Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., with Mass following at 2 p.m., at Saint Joseph, Husband of Mary, Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be 9:20 a.m., Friday, Feb. 1 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
