MICHAEL THAIN Michael Heber Thain, 47, passed away Dec. 31, 2013, in Henderson. He was born July 1, 1966, in Burien, Wash. Mike received a BA from the University of Washington
in 1989, and furthered his education by attending Seattle Massage School and becoming a licensed massage therapist, where he ran his own massage therapy business in Washington. Mike had a great respect for the Earth and environment, and he enjoyed going on hikes. He loved his children, Luke and Sierra, and enjoyed the time he spent with them. One of his greatest qualities was that he honored each person no matter what their circumstances. He even made a point of carrying extra water in his car to give to homeless people suffering from heat in the street or buying a burger to give to someone in need. He is survived by his two children, Luke and Sierra of Plano, Texas; his significant other, Liz Martinez of Henderson; mom, Pauline Thain of Henderson; dad, K. P. Thain of St. George, Utah; brothers, Douglas and Steven Thain of Washington. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at La Paloma Funeral Service, 5450 Stephanie St.
