COL. PETER MUSICARO, DDS U.S. Army, Retired Col. Peter John Musicaro, DDS, U.S. Army (ret.), 88, passed away Sept. 15, 2013. He was born Jan. 15,1925 in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Michael and Rosina Musicaro. He graduated High School in Brooklyn, attended Yale University
, and obtained his DDS from the University of Louisville Dental School. He continually practiced dentistry from 1948 to 2012. Col. Musicaro served in the U.S. Army for 28 years, where he was stationed with his family in Germany, Iran, Korea, and various bases in the United States, serving as chief of U.S. Army dental clinics, and retiring as a full colonel. Upon retirement from the armed services, he was employed as a dentist by the State of New Jersey and eventually opened his own practice, where he recently retired after 64 years. Peter was loved and appreciated by his friends, associates and patients for his dry sense of humor and quick wit. He was preceded in death by his brother, John. He is survived by his wife, Edelgard; son, Michael; daughter, Susan; and his four grandchildren, Mark, Victoria, Laura, and Catherina. He was a role model in education for his children and grandchildren. He appreciated Italian art and culture, and loved to travel. He also enjoyed skiing and golfing. He will be very much missed by his family and friends. Viewing will be at 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, with memorial services following, both at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas. Col. Peter Musicaro will be honored with a burial in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia at a later date.
