RANDOLPH SLIDER Randolph E. Slider, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 31, 2014. He was born April 21, 1946, in Maryland, but grew up in Rosemead, Calif., where he graduated from high school. He attended Pepperdine University, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War
. Randy was a respected businessman, and was well-liked by everyone. He enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies, sports and boating, and was involved in politics most of his life. As a young Eagle scout, he was elected to be in a documentary with President Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel Slider. He is survived by his wife, of 16 years, Lonnie Slider; two brothers, Wes Slider (Patty) and Ronald Slider (Karen); two sisters, Leslie A. King (John) and Rhonda Reynolds (Greg); and several nieces and nephews. Memorial at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at his home.
