RICHARD FOX Richard A. Fox, 75, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014. Richard had been retired after a long and productive career in real estate for the last 35 years. He was also a manager at Retail Credit Company, and director of Program Services for the Wisconsin DNR. He served in the U.S. Navy
for two years. Richard was an educator and he, along with his wife, Gayle, not only taught but also published numerous courses for continuing education and business leadership. He was active in Toastmasters and received many awards for comedic story telling. Through the Toastmaster's Youth Leadership program he taught leadership training to local high school students through a dynamic outreach program called "Yes, Inc." Richard also taught life skills and leadership training to juniors and seniors at Foothill High School. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle P. Brown Fox, in 2006; brother, Donald Fox of Flushing, Mich. in 1992; and the daughter of his late wife, Catherine Combs of Missoula, Mont. in 2010. Collectively, they have six children, Matthew (Kristen) of Copper Mountain, Colo., Michael (Amy) of Wauwautosa, Wis., Ronald (Sally) of Janesville, Wis., James of Janesville, and Kenneth (Anne) of Phoenix, Ariz.; and sisters, Marilyn Hendrickson (John) of Rome, Ga. and Susan Baum of St. Augustine, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Friday June 27, at Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 7811 Vegas Drive, 702-880-7811.
