RICHARD LEVASSEUR

RICHARD LEVASSEUR Richard James LeVasseur, 66, of Las Vegas, passed away July 31, 2013. Richard was born Oct. 19, 1946, in Middletown, Conn., and was a 35-year resident of Nevada. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, from 1964-1967, and was a retired tour bus driver. He was married to Glenda LeVasseur from 1967-1996. He was an active member of the LDS Church since 1978. Richard owned and sold two businesses. He loved being a tour bus driver until he retired. He loved the outdoors, helping others, good movies and spending time with his family. He was a loving father, a funny and caring friend, a hard-worker and dedicated member of the church. "We love you. You will be missed. I love you, Dad." He was preceded in death by his father, Francois LeVasseur; mother, Alice Barbara LeVasseur; and brother, Charles. He is survived by his sister, Janet and her husband, Billy Ranno; brothers, John and Robert LeVasseur; sons, Michael and his wife, Dawn, Matthew and his wife, Krista, and Mark; daughters, Jacqueline and her husband, Johnny Harrah, and Cynthia LeVasseur and her husband, Kenny Trotter; 12 grandkids; and two great-grandkids. Services were previously held Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the LDS Chapel on Walnut and Carey.
