RICHARD MUNOZ Richard Gonzales Munoz, 86 of Las Vegas, passed away at home, Friday, Aug. 2, 2013. He was born Dec. 26, 1926, to Apolonio and Isabel Munoz, in Oxnard Calif., and was a 33-year resident of Las Vegas. Richard was the retired owner/operator of Munoz and Sons Trucking and served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. My dad believed that nothing could separate him from the love of God. Romans 8:38-39. He was survived by his wife, Inez Munoz; daughters, Lali Berlin, of Ventura, Calif., Veronica Munoz Montes, of Santa Cruz, Calif., Gennie Munoz Julian, of Las Vegas, Sandra Munoz Braidman, of Folsom, Calif., and Sonia Munoz of Fair Oaks, Calif.; sons Steve Munoz and Richard Munoz II, both of Las Vegas; brothers, Julias Munoz of Oxnard, and John Munoz of Barstow, Calif.; sisters, Mary Lou Garcia of Hesperia, Calif., and Francis Romero of Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 12:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
