ROBERT ROEDER Robert Roeder, 73, of Las Vegas, was tragically killed when an SUV turned left in front of his motorcycle Aug. 27, 2013. While dad had ridden or piloted everything from Bultaco motorcycles to Ultra light planes for over 50 years, all his considerable skill and experience could not save him. Dad was born in Pennsylvania to Lee and Marion. Dad was a jack-of-all-trades who mastered everything he attempted. If he did not know how, he would find out how. He understood not only the mechanical but the scientific, physical and the human element of this planet we live on. Kind to every living thing, Dad especially enjoyed being a father, grandfather and a great-grandfather. He lovingly shared with us his vast knowledge and life's most important lessons. Dad was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force
. He met the love of his life, Patty, while serving in Labrador. They married and moved to Las Vegas, where they had three daughters. Married for 51 years, Pat passed in January 2013. He is survived by his daughters, Joanne (Don), Pamela (Bob) and Donna (the favorite); grandchildren, Trudy (James), Tricia, Traci and Bobby; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Kylee and Isabelle. He also leaves behind his sister, Marylee; cousin, Terry; nephew, Michael; and great-niece, Sarah; as well as numerous friends and colleagues. Dad was available day or night for anything his family needed. There are no words to express the void that has been created in our lives by his loss. Our only comfort is in knowing that he is with Mom now. We will be celebrating Dad's amazing life at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City. Reception to follow. No flowers please. "We love and miss you Daddy! Take care of Mama!"
