ROBERT WILEY Robert J. Wiley, 56, passed away instantly in Bullhead, Ariz., April 11, 2014 ,when a car hit the motorcycle he was riding. A resident of Henderson, and also of Bethlehem, Pa., where he was born May 1, 1957, Rob was the son of Francelle Wiley of Bethlehem and the late James H. Wiley. Rob graduated from Penn State University
with a degree in industrial engineering and earned an MBA while serving in the U.S. Air Force, from which he retired in July 1999. Subsequently, he taught Computer Science at the College of Southern Nevada. Among other achievements during Major Wiley's long and distinguished Air Force career, he led a team of Air Force and contractor personnel in a space and missile systems program, which resulted in program improvements. Rob is survived by his mother, Francelle; his son, Anthony J. Wiley of Henderson; and four brothers and a sister, Mark of Saudi Arabia, Hundley of Pennsylvania, Dale and his wife, Lorna of Florida, Jay and his wife, Elisa of Indiana, and Lucy and her husband Guines, of Pennsylvania. Rob is also survived by nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; eight cousins and their families; and a special friend, Sandra Nawrocki of Henderson. Memorial "meet and greet" will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, with services following, both at the Christian Center Church, 571 Adams Blvd, Boulder City, NV 89005. Rob will be missed deeply by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local Police Auxiliary Civilian (PAC) or Wounded Warrior Project.
