Rosa Tulane

ROSA TULANE Rosa Dagny Tulane, 89, of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2012. She was surrounded by her beloved friends and left us to go peacefully into the arms of God. Born in Sweden Feb. 2, 1922, Rosa was a blessing to all who knew her. She came to the United States in her early 20's and became a registered physical therapist in California, where she met and married Michael Tulane. Later, she moved to Las Vegas and, along with her husband, Michael, was a sought-after masseuse at the Rivera Hotel. Rosa was full of life right up until the day she died, at almost 90. She was busy on the internet, driving around town visiting friends, even dropping off her daily paper after she had finished with it, and doing her favorite thing, playing Bingo. In fact, her last conscious moments were in her favorite Bingo parlor, the Palace Station Casino. As her close, and lifelong friend, Betty Weider said, "She died doing what she loved - she died with her boots on." May God rest her soul, and may He grant us all the grace and peace, with which he allowed Rosa to pass to a better place. We, her closest friends feel her stalwart and loving spirit encouraged us to live the life we have in the best way we know how; she was generous and loving, a "trooper" until the end! We can all learn from her example. At Rosa's request, no services were held.
