THOMAS DA SILVA Thomas J. Da Silva, 71, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 2, 2013. Tom was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved his family to Las Vegas in 1972 where he raised his three children with his lovely bride, Linda. He retired from TWA after 23 years and started his own business with his friend and business partner Bob, until he retired this past summer. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ethel; and his brother, Jay. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, of 47 joyous years; son, Jimmy and his fiance, Serena; daughter, Michelle; and son-in-law, Dwight; daughter, Lori; grandsons, Billy, Brennan, Dylan and TJ; and his brother, Bobby; and numerous other family members and friends who love him dearly. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy
from 1959-1963. Tommy and Linda are active members of the Las Vegas Wings Motorcycle group and Las Vegas T-Bird Club, and enjoyed riding the open road with their many good friends. They enjoyed their "Casa Da Silva" cabin in Utah, traveling the country visiting many long time family and friends, and devoting time to their grandsons in support of their school/sports/religious activities. Mass will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Celebration of life ceremony will follow from 3-5 p.m., at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. All are welcome to attend both services/events. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors or Disabled Veterans, organizations he believed in firmly.
