LT. COL. THOMAS CHUCK U.S. Marine Corps
, Retired Thomas E. Chuck was born Feb. 11, 1947, in Chicago, to Harris and Eileen Chuck. He graduated with a BS degree in political science from University of San Diego, and a masters in business and marketing from National University in Califonia. He entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1970 and retired as a lieutenant colonel in the Reserves in 2000. He met his wife, Jackie, in Oceanside, Calif. They married in 1985 and relocated to Las Vegas in 2001. His most recent employment was with Green Valley Grocery, where he loved to entertain the young customers with his impersonation of Donald Duck. Tom had a love of sports, especially baseball. He was a walking book of knowledge of sports statistics and was his own Trivial Pursuit team. Tom passed away suddenly of a heart attack in his home Nov. 28, 2012. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Chuck, in 2002; and his wife, Jackie Chuck, in 2009. He is survived by his father, Harris Chuck, of Vista, Calif.; sister, Lisa Griggs (Jim) of Florence, Ore.; sister, Carol Post (Tom), of Temecula, Calif.; stepdaughter, Camille Rosefeld, of Del Mar, Calif.; stepson, Shawn Rosefeld, of Oceanside, Calif.; niece and great-nephews, Tamara Lacy, Anthony and Jacob of Avondale, Ariz.; and niece, Jennifer Post of Temecula. He also leaves behind his cat of many years, Kashta. Celebration of life will be at 10 a.m., Jan. 5, at Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson. Burial will be at 10 a.m., Jan. 7, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
