TSGT. HERBERT ROBERTSON U.S. Air Force
, Retired Sunrise Dec. 10, 1935 - Sunset Jan. 8, 2014. Herbert Anthony Robertson, 78, of Las Vegas, peacefully met our Heavenly Father Jan. 8, 2014, in Las Vegas, where he resided for 15 years. He was born Dec. 10, 1935, to the late Willis Joseph Robertson and Leona Cousin Robertson, in New Orleans. He was a former member of St. Clavier Catholic Church as a youth through his early adult life. His education included, Joseph A. Craig Elementary and Joseph S. Clark Senior High School. After which he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and went on to travel extensively throughout the world with his career as a technical sergeant. He ended his career in the military after honorably serving his country for 20 years. After leaving his military service, he continued serving his country by working as a supervisor at McClellan Air Force Base for 16 years. Herbert was preceded in death by his siblings, Gwendolyn R. Age, Diana R. Isaac, Janvier Robertson, Glora La Verne, Willis Joseph Sr., Joseph and Newman; grandparents, Leona and Charles and Anasrasia and Bernard Cousin. He leaves to cherish his most precious memories, his wife, Starr; daughter, Kimberly Robertson Payne; grandsons, Nicholas and Alex; Starr's daughter, Diamond, and granddaughters, Nova, Aura, Isis and Halo; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. In his journey in life, Herbert will be remembered as a devoted family man imparting many examples of wisdom, knowledge and expertise on living the good life honestly and treating everyone with love and respect. Herbert will be leaving positive footprints in the sands of life for us all to follow on our pathway of life. Services will be at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
