Wolf Adler

iconWOLF ADLER Wolf Adler, 87, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012. Born in Sighet, Hungary, he was a Las Vegas resident for nearly 50 years. A renowned musician and artist, he performed the world over and helped to bring classical music to the Las Vegas valley. As an artist, he entertained generations of locals and Las Vegas visitors with portraits and caricatures. Wolf was known for his generosity and kindness. A Holocaust survivor, he was frequently asked to speak to young adults about his history and triumphs. He is survived by his beloved wife, pianist, Muriel of Las Vegas; and son, David of Henderson. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89120. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nevada Public Radio Classical 89.7 KCNV, the Holocaust Survivor's Group of Southern Nevada or the Holocaust Resource Center, c/o Jewish Family Service Agency.
