ALIX VANDIVIER Alix Vandivier was born April 8, 1954 and passed away in Las Vegas on July 1, 2012. Alix was raised in Bedford, Ind. by her mother, Marie Myers, and attended Bedford High School and Texas Tech University. Most recently, Alix shared her culinary and teaching talents with students of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Chicago and Las Vegas as president and vice president. An abundance of very fortunate friends and loved ones gathered together Sunday, Aug. 19, for a celebration of life. The gathering was held at the Alexis Park Resort in Las Vegas...and Alix would have been delighted to see just how she was celebrated. There were personal stories collected and bound. There was a DVD of her beautiful photographs paired with the June 18 Legacy interview for the Library of Congress StoryCorps Archive.
