Obituary Condolences

ALMON CLARK Almon Clark, 61, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2012. He was born July 30, 1951, in Corning, N.Y., the son of Mary (Eckess) and Almon T. Clark and stepson to Bob Seeley. He graduated in 1970 from Manlius Pebble Hill High School, located east of Syracuse, N.Y. He worked in the oil fields in Wyoming before completing his bachelor of science degree from Southern Colorado State University in psychology and education in 1978. Al earned his master's degree in special education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1983 and his education administration license from the University of Denver in 2003. Al was a teacher, coach, athletic trainer and mentor for 26 years in Pueblo, Colo., and spent the last eight years teaching in Las Vegas, most recently, at Sierra Vista High School as a special education teacher. He dedicated his energy to helping students become life-long learners. He enjoyed golf, skiing, traveling and jazz music. Al loved his family and cherished his friends. He was preceded in death by his father; mother; stepfather; and mother-in-law. Al is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Kara and her fiancee, Miles Smith; sister, Linda Ackley and her children, Holly, Chris and Chip; sister-in-law, Mary Donegan and her children, Brian and Daniel; brother-in-law, Mike Donegan, his wife, Katie and their children, Brianna and Megan; and father-in-law, Francis Donegan. Al was also close to and survived by his cousins, Sean Donegan, his wife, Cheri, and Molly Donegan Milusnic and her children. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Palm Mortuary-Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. in Las Vegas. Cards and donations may be sent to P.O.
