ANITA GREEN In loving memory of our grandmother, mentor and friend, Anita Lorraine Green. Anita, a resident of Las Vegas for over 70 years, passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 19, 2012. She was born Jan. 21, 1920, in western Nebraska, to James (Jimmy) and Grace Mead, and was the eldest of four children, sisters, Etha and Letha; and brother, Willis. She married her loving husband, Elmer Wilson Green, Aug. 1, 1935. An active part of the Las Vegas community, she took part in youth sports, church activities and political events throughout 50's, 60's and 70's. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; daughter, Bonnie; son, Jerry; daughter-in-law, Sandi; mother and father; sister, Etha and Brother Willis. She is survived by her sister, Letha; son-in-law, Pete; and grandchildren, Candi, Debbie (Steve), Tim (Celeste), Stephanie and Jon (Alexx). Anita is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her greatest joys in life were traveling around the United States with her husband, Elmer, and spending time with her family. Viewing will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24. Services will at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, both at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
