 BARBARA CREARY Barbara Creary, 67, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and a 21-year resident of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Odyssey Hospice in Las Vegas. Barbara was born June 22, 1945, in Newark, N.J., and was married to Peter L. Creary, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, April 27, 1968. After spending 10 years at home raising her children, Barbara began working again, starting first in data entry and administrative roles, and eventually becoming a self-taught computer aided design and manufacturing software specialist supporting technology and defense companies. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Brown McNeill; sons, David and Brian; brothers, Richard Liffridge and Gerald McNeill, Sr.; and sister, Elaine Greene. She is survived by her husband, of 44 years, Peter; children, Donna, Kevin, Barbara Ann, and Stephanie; daughter-in-law, Stacie; grandchildren, Nicole, Marcus, Adrian, Jalen and Kaira; sister, Delores Bell; and many other McNeill, Bell, Greene, Liffridge, and Creary family members. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 11, at La Paloma Funeral Service, 5450 Stephanie St., Las Vegas. Burial services will follow at noon at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
