 BARBARA DENIS Barbara Jean Denis, 68, a retired network system administrator for the Culinary Union ABPA, peacefully departed Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012. She was born Aug. 28, 1944, in Salida, Colo., and was a 50-year resident of Nevada. Barbara was a devoted Christian and faithfully served her church, as well as serving the community through PAC and as a crossing guard for the Clark County School District. She is survived by her beloved husband, Sotero Denis; two sons, Gene and Terry Tipton; two daughters, Sally Swan and Marian Denis; three sisters, Jackie Ramer, Ellean Feathers and Rita Brown; a brother, Jack Werner Jr.; and four grandchildren, Jeff, Clarissa, Olivia and Kaitlin Tipton. Barbara was a caring, nurturing, thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will remain eternally in the hearts of her family and friends whose lives were blessed with her presence. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, Nov. 7, with services following, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be officiated by Darrell Reyman.
