BETTIE KOVAL Elizabeth "Bettie" Koval, 90, a 60-year resident of Las Vegas, went to Heaven Friday, Jan. 18, 2013. Raised in Michigan, Bettie moved to Las Vegas with A.J. Koval in the 1950's, hence the name Koval Lane, which was named after them. She was an active member of St. Viator's and Bishop Gorman High School communities, where she spent many hours volunteering. She was a very wise and empathetic person, always willing to lend an ear. She is survived by her son, Alan Koval; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Tim Cashman; five granddaughters, Amanda, Cassie and Nikki Koval and Samantha and Ali Cashman; and sister, Dorothy Ringelberg of Michigan. The world is a much better place because she was here. If Heaven is what you can make it, she is on a white sandy beach with her husband, A.J., and son, Dennis, by her side. As per Bettie's wishes, all services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in Bettie's name to Bishop Gorman High School, 5959 S. Hualapai Way, Las Vegas, NV 89148 or St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121. Services are entrusted to Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
