 BETTY MACK Betty Jane Mack, 87, of Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 5, 2012. She was born May 4, 1925, in Red Lodge, Mont. Betty moved to Las Vegas in 1970 from Torrance, Calif., and was a longtime resident. She and her second husband, Bob Mack, were employees of the original downtown Union Plaza Hotel, where she was the administrative assistant to the chief engineer. For many years, they traveled between their Las Vegas home and their second home in West Yellowstone, Mont. Betty quietly finished her life at her home of 30 years in Las Vegas. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Ann Haig; son, Kent Hiner; grandsons, Mark Hanson, Eric Hiner, Chance Hiner and Carson Hiner; and great-grandsons, Alex Allen, Tai Hiner and Tasi Hiner. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
