BEVERLY BASS Beverly Johnson Bass, 73, of Las Vegas passed away Oct. 31, 2012. She came to Las Vegas in 1995 and served several years as program administrator and dean at the City Colleges of Chicago. She worked at the Nevada Test Site, as administrator for the Economic Opportunity Board (EOB), and retired as executive director of HELP Las Vegas. In retirement, she was a substitute teacher at the 100 Academy. She leaves husband, LeRoy Bass Jr.; son, LaMaughn (Patrice) Muhammad of Lexington, Ky.; daughters, Jautaun (Kenneth) Johnson and Mischa (Paul) Desmond of Las Vegas; brother, Daniel Johnson of Chicago; four grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. Services will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at 100 Academy of Excellence 2341 Comstock, Las Vegas.
