 BRIAN MCCLUNG R. Brian McClung, 71, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012. Born Nov. 8, 1940 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, Brian was a graduate of Brigham Young University with a bachelors and masters degree in communications. A 22-year resident of Las Vegas. Brian was a professional biographer who assisted many people to write their life story. He was also an avid outdoorsman, and the published author of several outdoor books. Brian faithfully served his church in many callings, including a two-year mission and bishop of the Las Vegas ninth ward. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 47 years, Marie; son, Dave; daughter-in-law, Christi; grandchildren, Owen and Kailey of Reno; brothers, Bob (Ramona) Lynn (Sandi) and Richard (Charlene); and sister, Linda (Sabon DuPree). Visitation 10-11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, followed by services, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9825 W. Desert Inn Road. Burial will follow later in the day in the Mesquite City Cemetery.
