 CARL OWENS Carl Owens, 69, passed away Nov. 7, 2012. He was born Oct. 22, 1943 in Arkansas. He retired as staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. A resident of Las Vegas since 1995, he attended Little Rock High, Ark., and received his GED through the University of Maryland, his AA from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif., and his BA degree from CalState Fullerton. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Owens; son, Joseph Owens; daughter, Amanda Owens; son, Christopher Owens; stepsons, Noime Prodigo and Nichole Prodigo; mother, Florene Owens; sisters, Annie Gilmore and Norma Jean Peterson; and brother, Bill Owens. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Services will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, at a later date.
