CAROLYN GODOWN Carolyn Sue Godown, a resident of Las Vegas for over 50 years, passed away April 23, 2012. "Sue" was born in Evansville, Ind. and made Las Vegas her home in 1960. Sue worked for over 50 years in Las Vegas as a telephone operator, and she was the chief operator for the Four Queens Hotel for nearly 30 years. She retired in 2010 to spend more time with her husband and family. Sue suffered with severe medical complications for many years. She is now at peace and free of pain. Sue is survived by her husband, Dwain; her son, John; daughter, Debra of England; two stepsons, Jim and Jeff; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Roberta, of Ontario, Calif.; many nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. Graveside memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Sunday, June 3, at Palm Memorial Park-Downtown, 1325 N. Main St., back of Roses II, south of the main building. Her husband, Dwain Godown, can be reached at home.
