CHARLES LARSON Charles Andrew Larson, 42, left our lives far before his time Tuesday, April 10, 2012, after losing his battle with addiction. Charlie was born in Michigan, July 13, 1969. He is survived by his mother, Ann Larson; father, David Larson; sisters, Stephanie Gullotta and Susan Larson; a niece, Carissa; and a nephew, C.J. Charlie will perhaps be most fondly remembered for his athletic talent and passion, having won numerous national Judo titles as a boy, winning a state wrestling championship in high school, then going on to wrestle for Cal State Fullerton. Charlie was also a dedicated teacher at Variety School, where he made a difference in the lives of students that few others could reach. We will dearly miss him and his sense of humor, along with the deep love he had for his family and his job. We hope he is in a better place where he is free of all pain and sorrow. A small memorial will be held in his honor at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at Stephanie's home.
