CHRISTOPHER PARK Christopher Alan "Chris" Park, 44, of Las Vegas, died in his home from pancreatic cancer, surrounded by loved ones, Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was born Nov. 6, 1967, in McCleary, Wash., to Gloria Deutsch and Wayne Park. He was then joined by his younger sister and lifelong friend, Sally in 1971. High school was where he first exhibited his ability to make friends of everyone he met and accepted everyone for who they were. Chris pursued many career paths and excelled at ever one, he expected nothing less from himself. He mastered whatever career he chose and used skills from each past career to move forward to the next. After working as a bartender at the Paris Hotel for several years, he developed a passion for massage therapy and rehabilitation. Christ met his life partner, Daniel Lewis in Las Vegas in 2002. They shared a love of exploring new cultures and world history through their travels around the world. Chris was dedicated in educating himself on everything and anything that he found fascinating. Chris had a natural compassion and caring for everyone who touched his life, even if just briefly. He was loving and generous with his time and caretaking. Survivors include partner, Daniel Lewis; father, Wayne Park; mother and stepfather, Gloria and Frank Deutsch; sister and her husband, Sally and John Hautala; and nephew and nieces, Carter, Kady and Sarah Hautala.
