CLIFF SUKOWATY Cliff "Sooko" Sukowaty passed away Sept. 19, 2012, after a six-year battle with cancer. He was born April 27, 1943, in Sheboygan, Wis., to Erhard and Isabell Schwartz Sukowaty. He graduated from Basic High School in Henderson, and had advanced education in Minnesota and continuing classes throughout his career. He was a member of the Shy Shifters Car Club, Las Vegas Corvette Association, Elks and Christ The King Catholic Church. Cliff will always be remembered as a fun and loving father and a devoted husband, an excellent role model and buddy for his children. He was never too old to play with us kids, even on the backyard zip line, but always there to show us the right path. He was never one to complain, tough as nails, he'd just buckle down and get it done. He always said use the right tool for the right job and for us he always got the job done right. He had a profound love for classic and muscle cars, a love for his animals, but most of all his family. He adored his loving wife for more than 37 years of marriage, showing his family the true love of a father and husband. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erhard and Isabell Schwartz Sukowaty. Cliff is survived by his wife, Jolene Fay Floor Sukowaty; his children, Lane (Beth) Sukowaty of Salt Lake City, and Trent Sukowaty of Enoch, Utah. Viewing will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23, at Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 N. 300 W., in Cedar City, Utah. There will be a second viewing at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 24, followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m., at Christ The King Catholic Church, 690 S. Cove Drive, Cedar City. Burial will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences may be sent to www.sumortuary.com
