COLLEEN TYLER Colleen Frances Tyler, age 51 passed away July 23, 2012, in Boulder City. She was born Feb. 8, 1961, on a military base in Taipai, Taiwan, to Oscar and Patricia Williams LaPlante. She served her country in the U.S. Army as a nurse. Colleen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was the webmaster of the Red Mountain Choir and worked for the Department of Family Services. She was a kind heart person who enjoyed gardening. She loved to travel and going on car trips and boating with her husband, of nine years, Thomas Tyler. Colleen is survived by her husband, Tom Tyler; three children, Nathan Lasoff, Katie (Lloyd) Hasselman and Elizabeth Lasoff; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Wyatt and Lucas; her father, Oscar (Sylvia) LaPlante; a brother, Vincent LaPlante; and a sister, Catherine Fenoff. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pat LaPlante. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Black Canyon LDS Chapel on Fifth St., in Boulder City.
