CONCEPCION DE LEON Concepcion "Conchita" Casas de Leon, of Las Vegas, was born Nov. 1, 1916, in Sampaloc, M.M., Philippines, and passed away July 31, 2014, from natural causes. She studied at the Holy Ghost College, M.M. A Coloratura Soprano in Manila, Conchita, in 1952, sang with the well-known Italian tenor, Guisepe Savio in Rigolleto. She also sang at San Juan's Sanctuario Church. She was a dedicated homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a positive influence on this great family. She always had a strong love of God, her church, family and her little dogs. She will always be missed, remembered and loved by all. She is survived by her daughter, Maribel and her children, Mary Jane, Tom Jr. (Leeann), Elizabeth (Jay), Amy, and Rosemarie; her late son Conrado's spouse, Cecilia T. and their children, Derrick (JL), Carlo (Mae), Javier (Bea), and Margaret; her daughter, Cecilia (Jake) and her children, Ricky (Elma), Patricia, Kathryn (Norland), Christina (Tim) and Christopher (Michelle); her son, Jose Jr. (Jasmin) and his son, Jose Mari; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services are pending at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church. Contributions may be made in honor of Concepcion to St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W.
