 CORDOVA HICKS Cordova Lee Hicks, 66, passed away Aug. 8, 2012. He was born Mar. 28, 1946, in Paris, Texas, and resided in Las Vegas for 45 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 43 years, Dee Hicks, former chief nursing officer at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and Sunrise Children's Hospital; brother, John Hicks (Sandra) of Tulsa, Okla.; uncle, Elbert Desmond (Mary Ruth), and aunt, Irma Jean Booker, both of Paris. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at University United Methodist Church - Worship Center, 4412 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas. Immediately following the service, there will be a repass in the Worship Center. Sincere appreciation to Dr. Kingsley and staff at the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Nathan Adelson Hospice team for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to University United Methodist Church.
