 DAVID TURNEY David Lee Turney, 72, of Las Vegas, went to be with the Lord Nov. 27, 2012, after a courageous battle with throat cancer. David was born in Jan. 25, 1940, Houston, to Mabel and Homer Turney. David moved to Las Vegas in 1997 to spend his golden years with his former wife, Olive, whom he married in 1978 and again 2001. She was the love of his life. David is survived by his loving wife, Olive Turney; daughters, Donna Harreld of Houston, Joy Rodriguez of San Antonio, and Tara Cassidy of Porter, Texas; stepdaughters, Leza Morris of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Gina Wilborn of Boulder City; 10 grandchildren; and his sweet Maltese, Daisy. David was a fun-loving and witty guy, who loved to play Bingo. He enjoyed working around food and retired as a buffet kitchen runner in a local casino. There will be a private celebration in his honor.
