DONALD ZISCHKE SR. Donald Dean Zischke Sr., of Henderson, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012. He fought a long courageous battle with leukemia. He was born June 29, 1931 near Brandt, S.D. to Ernest and Tressa Zischke. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kim Renee; and son-in-law, Mike Couevas. He served the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. He traveled around the world on the USS Sigourney. He owned and operated ABC Amusement Company in Las Vegas since 1968. He is survived by his loving family, his wife, of 60 years, Edna; his children, Pamela Couevas, Donald Jr. (Laura), Debra Singleton, Gregory (Rhonda) and Patti (Jeffery) Benson; grandchildren, Ryan, Nathan (Kirsten) and Travis Couevas, Jeffery (Nicole) Singleton, Dustin and Matthew (Jennifer) Zischke, Stephanie Englestead, Nicole, Scott and Dean Benson; great-grandchildren, Sophia Couevas, Kyle and Tessa Micholsky and Madeline Singleton; sister, Carol (Royal) Klemm of Toronto, S.D.; many sisters and brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 12:40 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. He will be sadly missed by all.
