EILEEN DUNCAN Eileen Mildred Sondee Duncan, 75, of Henderson, passed away Sept. 6, 2012, with family and friends at her side. She was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Waukegan, Ill., and was a 16-year resident of Nevada. Eileen worked for the state of California, was a Girl Scout leader, active in the American Legion Auxiliary in Henderson, and a supporter of breast cancer research. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ragnar and Mildred Sondee; and sister, Geraldine Kalvin. She is survived by husband, Nate Duncan; daughter, Lynne Duncan; grandchildren, Alyssa and Tanner Lucas; stepson, Steve Duncan (Ann); grandchildren, Madison, Riley, Jamie and Liam Duncan; brother, Ronald Sondee (Mary Lynne); and sister, Carolyn (Jack) Wadman. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. Refreshments will be served 3-5 p.m., at Post 40, 425 E. Van Wagenen in Henderson. Donations may be made in Eileen's memory to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or to the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 40 of Henderson. Eileen will be dearly missed by her family and the many friends whose lives she touched.
